Reach New Heights at Atkins

The wait is over! After two years of major renovations, the Atkins Library tower is officially reopening for the Fall 2026 semester—marking the library’s return to 100% accessibility for all students. Whether you're a new Niner exploring the tower for the first time or a current student eager to study once again on the tower floors, we invite you to Reach New Heights at Atkins!

• Time: 3 to 4:30 p.m. 
• Location: Atkins Library’s Dalton Tower

Grab an event "passport" and travel from floor to floor to collect stamps and giveaways, and see how we’ve leveled up your library experience! Each floor features its own unique theme and activities:   

• Floor 5 | Rise & Explore: Dive into our makerspace/technology hub with custom 3D-printed beads, keychains, and interactive crafting.   
• Floor 6 | Elevate Your Academic Success: Stop by our campus Resource Fair to discover essential tools and services for your academic journey.   
• Floor 7 | Uplift Your Legacy: Celebrate library history and alumni engagement with historic yearbooks and photos, and a look back at our 60-year legacy.   
• Floor 8 | You Lift Me Up: Immerse yourself in a full party atmosphere! Sign a collaborative celebratory mural, take photos at our photo-op stations, enjoy refreshments including a signature "Cherie Berry" mocktail, and sway to classic elevator music.   
• Floor 10 | Ascend into the Archives: Check out special displays from Special Collections & University Archives (SCUA), take in the best view on campus, and turn in your completed passport for a raffle drawing!
